Human Resources Recruiter

Our client is looking for a Human Resources Recruiter with the flexibility to expand duties and support beyond Talent Acquisition, and a passionate desire to help achieve company growth strategies. 

One of the main responsibilities of the HR Recruiter/Generalist is to work with the business in the recruitment and selection of top talent for all areas. Other responsibilities include employee onboarding, providing assistance in Learning & Development and Total Rewards initiatives.


Scope of Work


The Role is Responsible for:

Talent Acquisition:
  • Serve as a consulting partner to the business in the identification of the strategies to attract top talent for each vacancy.
  • Provide support to the Hiring Managers in the elaboration of job descriptions, interpreting the area’s needs in order to capture and document the responsibilities and requirements of the role.
  • Enforce and abide by the Talent Acquisition Service Level Agreement (SLA) so recruitment processes are completed in a timely manner.
  • Communicate continuously with the hiring managers, keeping them up to date on the search status, identify potential challenges that could arise during the process and provide creative solutions.
  • Ensure that all the steps of GOJA’s Talent Acquisition Process are fulfilled and look for continuous improvements.
  • Present employment offers, coordinate new hire documentation, background checks, filing of personnel records, and onboarding process of new hires.
  • Administer the company’s ATS and LinkedIn, ensuring optimization of job postings, that employer branding adjusts to the guidelines provided by the Brand Team, and full candidate review and response.
  • Support the VP, HR in the design of an Internship Program identifying key objectives, target roles and candidates, academic institutions to liaise with, Program duration, etc.
  • Build a continuous pipeline of potential candidates by networking, presence in social media, building relationships with educational institutions, among others.
  • Stay up to date with current market trends in areas such as job nomenclature, where to target for the right talent, changes in the candidate pool offering in the market, etc.

Learning & Development (support):
  • The successful implementation and rollout of the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • LMS content upload and library updates.
  •  Assistance in the coordination of training events (logistics).
  • Activities related to succession planning.

Total Rewards:
  • Benefits administration, including new provider(s) onboarding, changes in the benefits offering, open enrollment season, etc.
  • Recognition initiatives.
  • Compensation activities (i.e. salary increases, bonus payouts).

The perfect candidate will have/be:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Org Design, or related area.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a Talent Acquisition capacity -a MUST-.
  • 2+ years of experience in Retail or CPG.
  • Knowledge of EEO, FMLA and FLSA legislation and its application.
  • Ability to work with ATS software.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices and processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A strong team player.
  • Orientation to cater internal customers and excel in the service.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple searches and projects.
