We’re seeking a visionary Group Strategy Director to lead strategic thinking across a portfolio of high-profile accounts. As the senior strategic voice for your group, you’ll shape brand platforms, architect innovative campaigns, and drive business growth by uncovering cultural and consumer insights that transform brands. This role requires equal parts analytical rigor and creative inspiration—someone who can distill complex challenges into simple, powerful strategies that inspire great work.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Oversee strategic direction for 3-5 major accounts, ensuring insights are actionable and creatively inspiring
Develop brand platforms, campaign architectures, and always-on content strategies rooted in cultural and behavioral insights
Lead research initiatives (qualitative/quantitative) to uncover fresh opportunities for client growth
Business Growth
Identify and pursue organic growth opportunities within existing accounts
Play a key role in new business pitches—from RFP responses to presentation storytelling
Mentor and elevate the strategy team, fostering a culture of curiosity and excellence
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Creative and Account leads to ensure strategic ambition matches executional reality
Collaborate with Data/Analytics teams to measure and optimize campaign effectiveness
Serve as the strategic voice to C-suite clients, building trust through provocative thinking
Qualifications
8+ years in strategy roles (agency experience mandatory) with a track record of shaping award-winning work
Portfolio of transformative strategies—show us ideas that moved businesses and culture
Mastery of research tools/methodologies (e.g., semiotics, trend forecasting, segmentation)
Data fluency—ability to synthesize behavioral data with cultural insights
Leadership presence—you inspire teams and command client rooms
Familiarity with Brooklyn/NYC creative and cultural landscapes
