Human Resources Manager(Luxury Design + Retail)
We recruit high-potential candidates to work with some of the best companies, start-ups, and agencies in Miami. For this particular role, our client is seeking a Human Resources Manager who reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for supporting the business strategy as a key member of the leadership team. The position also has a dotted line report to the Chief Human Resources Officer. In this role, you will work to maximize the potential of the people in our company, from recruitment through development and retention. This position currently has sole responsibility for the human resources function and provides a great opportunity to be involved in a broad array of activities. Emphasis will be on recruitment, establishing strong employee relations, managing benefit programs, administering the performance management process, identifying training opportunities, driving engagement, and ensuring compliance with labor laws.
Scope of Work
Responsibilities:
- Learn the business, including the strategy, products, customers and people issues
- Gain the trust of the organization
- Plan, develop and manage recruitment, selection and placement of talent with the critical skills required to ensure the achievement of business goals and leadership bench strength development
- Drive efforts to continually improve diversity, equity and inclusion
- Lead efforts to continually improve employee engagement
- Administer benefit programs and serve as relationship lead with key providers
- Administer the performance management system
- Develop and administer compensation and reward systems
- Provide employee counseling and coaching as required
- Identify/implement needed employee training
- Understand local, state, and federal employment laws and ensure company compliance
- Process payroll for all employees
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum 5+ years as a human resources manager
- PHR/SPHR certification preferred
- Retail experience a plus
Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated record of achievement
- Interest in Design and Architecture
- Ability to utilize technology to increase productivity
- Capable of creative thinking and able to convert ideas into actions
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak clear English with strong communication skills
- Spanish language knowledge a plus
- Must be able to travel as needed
- Experience administering payroll
- Experience with local / state / federal work regulations
- Experience with benefit management (401K, COBRA, FMLA, etc.).
- Experience supporting a multi-site retail business
- Management of HR analytics, including budgeting, forecasting, and personnel cost management
- Experience managing the full recruitment cycle
