Group Account Director
For this particular role, our client is seeking a group account director, client services to be responsible for leading a key account within the agency and overseeing the planning, insights, strategy, ideation and execution of consumer engagement initiatives. The role is also responsible for effectively leveraging experience, knowledge, and skills to drive strategic account leadership and innovative thinking that contribute to client success by providing strategic recommendations and client guidance.
Scope of Work
The group account director will also lead the preparation and presentation of prospective client pitches or proposals, along with the selling and upselling of marketing services to current and/or future clients.
Providing a high-level service to client representatives and co-workers and assisting the organization in achieving a services excellence culture.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the client business providing superior customer service while maximizing business opportunities
- Lead the planning process for brand initiatives inclusive of strategic and tactical development, research and analytics, consumer insights as well as proposal creation and delivery.
- Contribute to articulating and formulating strategic offerings and positioning being offered by client as well as partner agencies.
- Manage assigned direct reports, ensuring accountability, results and alignment with the company’s service-oriented culture.
- Responsible for meeting client KPI’s and development of key campaign plans
- Lead relationship with outside agency partners (creative, media, PR, etc.)
- Maintain a clear understanding of the client’s target audience, industry, competitive landscape, and business objective.
- Supervise program execution, budgets, deliverables timeline, and post-promotional reporting in accordance with company systems and processes.
- Develop effective client relationships to facilitate communication and execution with internal departments including business insights, content and communications, creative and production to ensure that deliverables are successfully achieved.
- Responsible for oversight of timeline revisions.
- Development of client scope of works and budgets.
- Monitor and adjust agency/client budgets and billing processes for accuracy and timeliness.
- Make autonomous decisions on behalf of our company strategy.
- Lead by example; establish themselves as a respected leader within the organization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 12+ years of experience in agency, brand or consumer products
- Experience in event execution or experiential marketing preferred.
- Experience in digital, social media marketing and/or content development is a plus.
- Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) experience preferred.
- Passionate individual willing to immerse him/herself in their work.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently and effectively set priorities and deliver on time.
- Good interpersonal skills, along with the ability to collaborate across entire organization along with being able to build relationships with external vendors and clients.
- Superior communication skills: oral, written and listening.
- Ability to work effectively with management.
- Ability to make oral presentations.
- Ability to complete multiple duties with accuracy shifting from one to another with frequent interruptions and competing deadlines.
- Track record of building and maintaining customer/client relationships.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers.
- Must be flexible when necessary; able and willing to explore and test new ways of doing things; must not remain set in ways to the detriment of the Company’s competitiveness.
- Must show initiative and possess the ability to make decisions and solve problems quickly and effectively.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
