Associate Media Director

We recruit high-potential candidates to work with some of the best companies, start-ups, and agencies in South Florida. For this particular role, our client is seeking an associate media director responsible for managing the media assignment/team, including media buying and planning initiatives. In this role, you will develop annual plans, including media buying, negotiating and ensuring ad buying stays within budget.  

This is a hybrid job opportunity located in Miami.


Scope of Work


Responsibilities:
  • Attend strategy meetings and brainstorm on media buying initiatives and suggestions, and establish the best way to communicate client messaging.
  • Manage and supervise a team in day-to-day media management while also leading the process of strategic media planning/execution and serving as a resource for the team.
  • 3-5 years of solid agency experience managing annual media budgets of +$10M
  • Ownership of all media planning and strengths in traditional broadcast (TV/radio).
  • Day-to-day management of digital media plans including developing recommendations, execution details, and budgets.
  • Research and implement new techniques and technologies that are relevant to clients’ media strategies. 
  • Management of national, regional, and local client media buying.
  • The ideal candidate will have a history in Florida markets.
  • Solid experience in the management of general and Hispanic market media spending.
  • Strong verbal and presentation for discussion of planning with clients and receiving client approval for each campaign phase.
  • Train and supervise media department employees.
  • Keep abreast of industry figures, including distribution and audience figures.
  • Use a combination of several different kinds of media to reach different audiences.
  • Draw insight from campaign results.
Requirements: 
  • 3-5 years of solid agency experience managing annual media budgets of +$10M
  • Familiar with office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), media software (SMBS, Freewheel, Nielsen)
  • and research tools (eMarketer, Simmons)
  • 4-6 years experience in traditional, primary broadcast TV/R, some digital with minimal print/outdoor media planning experience
