(CFO) Chief Financial Officer
For this particular role, our client is seeking a high-impact CFO who is responsible for developing, implementing and managing all the financial aspects of the business with the main goal of achieving the company's monetary objectives.
This position partners with executive management in making strategic financial decisions. Responsibilities include oversight of account reconciliations, budgeting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow management and all financial reporting. Being an entrepreneurial organization, this position may also assist with the implementation of new business unit ventures with regard to financial and/or operational functions.
Scope of Work
Location: Miami, Florida (On-Site)
Salary: 250k-260k + Bonus
Responsibilities:
• Direct and oversee all aspects of the finance and accounting functions of the organization.

Recruit and evaluate personnel under their own supervision, as well as manage and provide ongoing training.
•
Monitor work-flow within the accounting department to ensure tasks are completed timely.
•
Lead team with implementing changes in the accounting systems to adapt to both internal and external changes as necessary
•
Develop annual budgets and projections for the company with input from all department heads.
•
Develop and evolve the corporate monthly dashboard with key performance indicators for each department
•
Facilitate organizational cash flow management and forecasting. Also, monitor and maintain daily cash balances/reserves as necessary
•
Provide advice on how to increase revenue and/or reduce costs
•
Conduct analysis of financial risks and benefits on business initiatives as deemed necessary
•
Assist with high-level decisions and execute the financial strategy of the company.
• Actively communicate and present the critical financial matters to GM and Owners.
•
Provides leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
•
Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives to identify their needs and seek a full range of business solutions.
•
Work with a tax accountant to facilitate preparation of both corporate and owner personal tax
• Oversees all members of the Finance department
• Oversees insurance and banking vendors and processes returns and implement any tax strategies.
• Ensure that active internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws for financial and tax reporting.

Provide leadership and implementation oversight for new business units as deemed necessary.
•
Regularly review entries to the journals and ledgers to assure accuracy and compliance with established accounting principles and procedures.
• Ensure credibility of the Finance group by providing timely and accurate financial reports including trend analysis and comparisons to budget.

Manage banking relationships and daily cash management. As well as prepare and distribute reports to financial institutions to maintain compliance with bank accounts, lines of credits, loan covenants, etc.

Strong working knowledge of Excel, and accounting computer application systems.
• Experience in growth stage company is preferred.

Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
•
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
Education and Experience:
•
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
•
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required.
•
Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in a senior financial management position is required.
Physical Requirements:
•
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
•
Must be able to access various departments of a given location.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
• This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are to be determined in conjunction with the supervisor. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel Requirements:
•
Occasional travel will be required for quarterly conference participation
